Create Stunning Colour Effects with DIY Alcohol Sprays
Are you ready to elevate your card making game? With just a few simple ingredients, you can create amazing and impactful colour pops that will make your cards stand out! These easy-to-make alcohol sprays are all about vibrant colour explosions that will leave a lasting impression.
What You’ll Need
- Neon pigments
- Rubbing alcohol
- Spray bottles
- Your choice of paper or cardstock
For a full burst of neon madness, glossy photo paper is your best bet. If you prefer a more subtle look, regular white cardstock will give you a beautifully muted effect.
How to Create Your Alcohol Sprays
Making your own alcohol sprays is incredibly simple! Just follow these steps:
- Add a small amount of neon pigment to your spray bottle.
- Top it up with rubbing alcohol.
- Shake well until the pigment is fully dissolved.
It couldn’t be easier! Feel free to add a little pigment at a time until you achieve your desired colour intensity.
Tips for a Mess-Free Experience
To avoid overspray and keep your workspace tidy, I highly recommend using an old cardboard box as your spray station. Remember to work in a well-ventilated area or outside if the weather permits. Safety first! Rubbing alcohol can be harmful if inhaled, so please use common sense while crafting.
Less is More with Pigments
A little of my pigments goes a long, long way! These highly saturated, concentrated colours mean you won’t need much to create stunning effects. Trust me, your cards will be bursting with colour!
Showcase Your Creations
Here are some cards I made using the backgrounds I created. You can see how versatile this technique is—whether you want muted tones or bold, eye-catching designs, the possibilities are endless!
Using black cardstock can also highlight the vivid neon spray backgrounds, creating a striking contrast that enhances your card designs.
